The Missouri S&T EcoCAR Team Celebrates Homecoming Weekend

The Missouri S&T EcoCAR attracted a lot of attention during the school’s homecoming weekend. The EcoCAR was prominently displayed during the alumni reception and the Missouri S&T team was on hand to discuss its participation in the EcoCAR Challenge with visiting alums. The team also attended a tailgating party at Fairgrounds Auto Plaza, the local GM dealership in Rolla, Missouri.  Bill Peach, owner of Fairgrounds, grilled free hamburgers and hotdogs for over 75 hungry Miners fans.

The MS&T team would like to thank Mr. Peach for his support!

GM-donated Vehicle Arrives at the University of Victoria

The University of Victoria has received its GM-donated vehicle! When the EcoCAR arrived, the team was super excited to drive it into its new home, the Q-Hut garage – so much so that they had a  difficult time resisting the urge to tear it apart and get to work! 
 
Now in Year Two of the competition, the UVic team has moved from the engineering lab into the Q-Hut garage and is eager to get under the hood and make their design a reality. 
 
The local press was also eagerly anticipating the EcoCAR’s arrival and as a result, the team secured coverage in the Saanich News, the Times Colonist  and the Oak Bay News.
